And everybody thinks he's a tease.

I have been ridiculously busy lately, BUT I have a few drive-by things!

I had an excellent birthday, made even more excellent by [livejournal.com profile] kyrafic writing me my hardly-ever-written OT3, Stephen Colbert/Amy Sedaris/Paul Dinello - Farmers and Ghosts (Strangers with Candy RPF). It is SO GOOD YOU GUYS. Friendship fic that makes me so so so happy - their whole ridiculously long friendship, and Second City, and uh, I kind of love to an embarrassing degree, like, more than anything ever written. GO READ IT.

(Also, before that she wrote Shawn/Gus Psych fic, Nine True Facts About Gus and Shawn, Detectives/Boyfriends, that IS GRATE.)

I keep wanting to make an actual post about teevee, but I have 30 things I have to do right this second, SO INSTEAD. Two sentences about each of my shows:

How I Met Your Mother: OH MY GOD SLAP BET CONTINUITY! I have hardly ever been so delighted in all my days.

SVU: I don't even know why I bother anymore, but the low quality is pretty hilarious? I haven't even watched this week's episode yet.

The Office: You know, in the second season, the Jim/Pam relationship was like 90% delight, 10% bone-crushing sadness, but this season that ratio has completely inverted to 90% bone-crushing sadness and 10% delight, and I AM FINDING IT VERY OPPRESSIVE. At this point I really just want the two of them to get over it, stop being such a train wreck, be happy dating other people, GET THEMSELVES TOGETHER FOR GOD'S SAKE, and maybe later finally hook up when they have become people of courage (ESPECIALLY YOU, JIM HALPERT, YOU ARE THIS CLOSE TO BEING DEAD TO ME), and in the meantime I think the show should just let me watch everybody else, who are still 90% delight, so that I don't have to slit my wrists or something.

(Haha, longest two sentences ever? What I'm trying to say is, I will never be able to rewatch "Phyllis's Wedding", eva, and I'm still mad at the whole office for not KEEPING MICHAEL FROM EMBARRASSING HIMSELF. He's too young to know better, you guys! He needs someone to keep him settled!)

The Colbert Report: Oh man, lately Stephen has seemed so HAPPY - he breaks all the time and him being happy makes ME happy in a way that is possibly not entirely healthy. ALSO, how cute is it that every time Steve Carell is up for an award or something, Stephen does a bit on it? (Carell/Colbert - THE REAL OTP OF THE PIECE?) (Parentheticals don't count as my two sentences.)

Speaking of Colbert, here is my favorite picture ever taken in the history of time:

OKAY, I HAVE TO GO, FOR REALSIES.

Yis!! I love the one with the tie in front of the mirror too, but the sitting on the floor one for me is the winner. I don't even know why! The things Colbert does to me. But that whole picture series is amazing.

Totally, The Office has remained super high quality and awesome, but I cannot even DEAL with the train wreck that is Jim/Pam. PLIS STOP YOU GUYS.
