Okay. All right. So that one is dead. We know that.
Thursday night TV what I watched! Which means stuff that aired before Parks, because after Parks I am pretty busy... watching Parks over and over again.

OKAY ENOUGH. In other news,
moireach is ruining my life, on Wednesday she had to look at a bunch of pictures of Prince William & Kate Middleton for work, which apparently led to shipping Kate/Prince Harry a little bit because he is always around too, and in like three emails there was suddenly a lot of characterization about how Harry is always breaking up with Chelsy Davy because she's just not as awesome as the stupid girl his stupid brother got, and how Harry is always making Kate laugh at state functions the way William doesn't, and great, now I have an appetite that the internet apparently refuses to sate. Things I did not plan to care about when I woke up Wednesday morning: Royal Person Fiction. D:
And then today, as though we had made it happen with our minds, I stumbled across this people.com article: Kate Middleton, Prince Harry Rehearse the Wedding. Yeah. They rehearsed the wedding. Without William. And I had feelings about that. I HATE YOU FOREVER,
moireach, YOU DID THIS TO ME.

- I am super on board the Troy/Britta train, my goodness! Those two are EXTREMELY hot together, Donglover get inside me, etc.
- I don't really remember anything else that happened.
The Office
- I really wish the pod people who've taken over Jim and Pam's bodies would just get divorced already.
Parks and Rec
- Oh my Godddddd, the amount of feelings.
- Ben/Leslie and their stupid awkward faces. HANDSHAKING. TUNA ARE YOU KIDDING ME. God, I was shipping them so hard, but seriously, it is beyond time for this train to arrive at Makeoutville. I really wish that in Harvest Fest the two of them had been on the ferris wheel so Ron Swanson could've set them straight. "Ben! You're not cursed. Also it is extremely obvious why you are still in Pawnee. Be a man. Leslie! Ben likes you. Go out on a date with him and put us all out of our misery."
- Also of late, despite how hard I am shipping Ben/Leslie, I always come out of episodes shipping Leslie/Ron at least as much. They're just so MARRIED. Their matching horrified faces at the vegetable loaf! "Ron, take a walk." Their mom and dad-esque talk about their bonehead children! How Ron knows it's useless to try to stop Andy and April, but he lets Leslie go ahead and try because he knows she won't do anything too stupid and also he knows it's equally useless to try to make her stop.
- Obviously I was also shipping Andy/April as hard as any human being with two eyes and a heart must when they see Chris Pratt's face as April walked down the aisle. Goddddddddddddddd, Pratt, where is your Emmy, where is it.
- That being said, when April asked Ron to dance I actually shrieked, startling both me and the dog. I... am not a very dramatic TV watcher. I can count my weird TV reactions on one hand, those being 1) L&O:SVU, Fault, during which I slid off the couch due to flaily arm motions over Elliot/Olivia, 2) I don't actually remember what I did when Jim told Pam he loved her in Casino Night, but there was a roaring in my ears so I could've been actually screaming for all I know. (Those two actually happened in the SAME MONTH. I don't know how I got any work done.) So, um, that reaction to Ron/April seemed extreme. ALSO THE OTHER REACTIONS WERE FOR TOTALLY NORMAL CONVENTIONAL SHIPS, WHAT IS MY PROBLEM WITH THIS ONE? I mean, I always like unconventional ships (lol, remember when n00bs in Office fandom wanted to call them "nonconventional" and abbreviate it "noncon"? Good times.) but I don't think I've ever shipped one to the point of shrieking. But whatevs. SHE ASKED HIM TO DANCE. YES, LIKE HE WAS HER DAD, SHUT UP, IRRELEVANT.
- Despite how much I want Andy and April to be together forever (lol, how many of these bullet points begin "Despite how hard I shipped X, I also ship Y"), I really, really, really want fic where she gets together with Ron after her divorce from Andy. They can burn him in effigy together? Idk, you guys, idk.
- Honestly my personal future canon for April/Andy is that they'll totally get divorced in like two years, but then a couple years after that they'll get remarried, and that one will stick. Except maybe they'll get divorced again when they're middle-aged and their last kid goes off to college, probably because April is banging a 20 year old, but then they'll get remarried again a few years after that.
- As an aside, how cute is it whenever April and Andy cuddle? SHE LOOKS SO TINY AND HE LOOKS SO GIANT.
- Retta is SO HILARIOUS. Her delivery of "Are you Nell? From the movie Nell?" was amazing.
- All the continuity! Orrin! Ben and Derek! WHAT ARE BEN AND DEREK DOING THERE, DO THEY ALL HANG OUT? WHAT IS HAPPENING? (Also while we're talking about it, when they added Rob Lowe and Adam Scott to the cast, why on earth did they name them Ben and Chris? WE ALREADY HAVE BEN AND CHRIS CHARACTERS ON THIS SHOW. [Will Arnett was named Chris when he was on!] Mike Schur, for someone who likes making up hilarious names you're falling down on the job.) Also April's adorable parents! April's sister whose hoodie she stole!
- "You're straight? Jean Ralphio's just a friend?" LOL FOREVER.
- I usually hate it when a mockumentary uses music for a montage, because I feel like they're really good at making you have emotions without having to rely on that crutch like they're Grey's Anatomy, buuuuuuuuut I'm not a robot, I totally teared up at the wedding, Simon & Garfunkel was incredibly perfect. (UGH I TOTALLY TEARED UP AT THE AMERICAN GIRL HARVEST FEST MONTAGE TOO, losing my edge, dammit, Parks.) Also the whole thing was super sappy but I didn't even care, I love everyone in this bar, etc!
- Lol, which of these three show reaction lists is not like the other. Which of these lists just doesn't belong. tl;dr as usual.

Anyway, I feel in my heart that those two weirdos (Leslie & Ben, I mean) are going to get thrown together next week. If it doesn't happen then, I will probably lose all faith in the goodness of this show. At least as far as that ship is concerned.
Also, do you think that maybe Ben thinks that Leslie likes Ron? I mean, I think it's one of the many things that's keeping him from making out with her. There was this moment where he was watching Leslie talk to Ron and kind of looked away -- am I over interpreting this??

Leslie/Ron, right???? They understand each other SO WELL, I'm a sucker for people who aren't married acting like they are. Ahahahaha, it killed me that Leslie stayed at the table after Ron did that -- you know he's pulled similar stuff before.
Goddddddd, I hope you're right that Leslie and Ben do something next week -- it really is about time. And clearly Leslie is having feelings now, right? IT'S TIME, YOU TWO. Ugh, Ben, going to her for "advice" about how he wants her to ask him to stay.
OH GOD, it hadn't occurred to me that Ben might think that about Leslie and Ron, but I HOPE HE DOES, THAT IS MY NEW CANON. I did notice him looking at Ron in one moment re: Leslie, INTERESTING. I could seriously see how he might have weird insecurities there.

(Yup. Yup, want it.)

(But right? Harry pining after her, and them stuck at all these lame events, and William's his best friend so Harry could never make a move, and they're the only three who can really understand their weird royal world so they're super close and it's hard for him -- UM, AND SPEAKING OF CLOSE, BY THE WAY, WILLIAM AND KATE ARE GOING TO LIVE IN A HOUSE WITH HARRY AFTER THE WEDDING, WHATTTTTTTTT. It's just, it's a pretty okay ship!)

I SERIOUSLY STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THAT. OT3333333333!

I spent every Ben/Leslie second of Parks and Rec thinking 'omg kiiiiiisss'. It was excruciating and wonderful and other out of proportion emotions. SHE THINKS HE SHOULD STAY.

OMG I KNOW RIGHT????? YOU TWOOOOOO, JUST TELL EACH OTHER YOU LOVE EACH OTHER ALREADY! Also I am so psyched you're into them!!! Also remember how Megan Mullally is on this show and you should write awesome fanfiction about Tammy Swanson-Swanson????

Okay, I feel like I must have missed something because I totally thought it was diegetic - you know, that they used the song instead of the traditional wedding march. Oh noes, I'll have to rewatch, THE HORROR!

Why do I almost care about Harry/Kate Middleton now? Fucking damn it.
Oh, and I will read literally ANY Ben/Leslie fic right now. Any of it. All of it. Where is it. Sweet Lord.
no subject
I knowwwwwwww, my Ben/Leslie feelings are THROUGH THE ROOF. Luckily there is a ton of fic being written for them at least? Haha, well, not a ton, but a ton for this fandom, so... some. There is some fic being written for them.

And maybe it's an American thing, this fascination with royalty (if you can even call it that)? And how it's all happy smiles and things are secretly awful, and Harry doesn't get the girl and he doesn't get to be King and why is every scenario I'm now imagining really, really sad? Okay. Stop. I'm stopping now.

The Office is still something that I can watch for about three seconds before closing my eyes and cringing... CANCEL IT. CANCEL.

I can't really remember the last time I was so GIDDY WITH DELIGHT as watching P&R last night. Every time I think I might quit TV forever because I don't have a favorite show, something comes along and becomes a favorite show and this is currently it. Also, Chris Pratt is really making me want to go back and watch Everwood like I'm in college again.

Oh man, this is perfect. Because there's no way it's going to last buuuuut also they are MFEO. I can't believe how joyful that whole episode was. Or how joyful the entire SHOW is. How did the people who made the Office make something (about the government!) so completely free of bleakness? I DON'T CARE I'M JUST GLAD THEY DID.

So yeah. I blame you.

Hahaha, I'm glad you have picked up this ship, it is weirdly immediate and compelling, like coming down with a weird flu.

These are not things I thought about before two weeks ago, like, at ALL.

AND UGH UGH UGH WHAT IS THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs. I was going to make a post being all like WATCHED SOME ROYAL WEDDING STUFF HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS I HOPE THEY MAKE IT WORK (I still hope they make it work, IRL) but WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY BRAIN, I HATE YOU.
