One Of The Many Ways Elliot and Olivia Didn't Have Wild Monkey Sex
SVU AU GAME, BITCHES.
Prompt: Olivia is partnered with Munch instead of Elliot.
Title: One Of The Many Ways Elliot and Olivia Didn't Have Wild Monkey Sex, Although God Knows They Would've Had Things Gone This Way
***
It's a slow morning and Elliot's wandered over to her and Munch's desks with his coffee in one hand and a red plastic stirrer sticking out of his mouth. Olivia isn't paying much attention to what he and Munch are talking about - theater, or something - until Munch says, a little more sharply than normal, "Well, that's because you're a Philistine, Elliot," and turns on his heel.
She looks up from her paperwork and watches as he walks away.
Elliot's looking at her with his eyebrows raised. "What's with him?"
She watches Munch's back as he bangs open the filing cabinets. "It's his anniversary," she says. When you've been someone's partner for a few years, you know these things.
"He's divorced," Elliot says.
"Exactly," Olivia says, and turns back to her paperwork. At lunchtime she gets takeout from Munch's favorite place, and lets him talk about the Kennedy assassination. He looks like he knows what she's doing, but neither of them mention it.
***
Two more rapes before they finally catch the guy, but he won't talk. They're in the box and Munch is getting agitated. Olivia starts to jump in, but he talks over her, rising in volume. She sits back and glances at the glass where she knows Cragen's standing. Munch is almost shouting. "You attacked those women, you sick son of a bitch, and I'm going to make sure you rot in Rikers." He stomps out of the room and slams the door.
The perp looks at her. "Touchy." Olivia just stares at him until he starts to squirm.
When the door opens again, it's Elliot, not Munch, which means Cragen told Munch to go cool off. Elliot turns a chair around and straddles it, opening the file in front of him.
"So," he says, looking at the perp. "Twelve rapes before we caught you, that's kind of impressive."
He glances at Olivia for confirmation, and for some reason this feels familiar, like they've done it before, like it's habit. She knows exactly what he wants her to say.
The perp confesses within 15 minutes, and she's not even surprised. Elliot touches the small of her back when they book him, and she smiles.
***
She doesn't mean to sleep with Elliot. He's married, he's a coworker - but it could be worse, she thinks. At least he's not her partner.
***
The day after, Elliot won't stop watching her, even when she looks over and catches him at it. His face is sober, unreadable, and by ten she has to start ignoring him completely to get any work done.
She is definitely not thinking about his hands on her thigh, or his stubble against her skin.
When Munch goes to take a file to the ADA, Elliot comes over and sits on the edge of her desk. She pointedly doesn't look up for a couple of seconds, as though she's much to busy to bother with him.
"Yeah?" she says finally, dotting an 'i'.
Elliot speaks very quietly. "We need to talk."
"About what?" she asks. He looks at her like, stop bullshitting me. She rolls her eyes. "Uh, no, we don't."
"Yeah, we do," he says, and then, "I'm sorry," and he means it. He looks miserable.
She closes the file she's been working on. "Look, Elliot, it was a mistake. It's no big deal. It won't happen again, don't worry about it."
"I'm not...," he starts, but at that moment Olivia sees Munch walk back in, and she leans away from Elliot, suddenly aware of how close they're sitting, how they're bending towards each other.
Elliot sees her move and stops, looks back over his shoulder. "Hey," he says to Munch. "What'd Alex say?"
"She doesn't think we have enough to file charges."
Elliot makes a face and gets up. "I'll see if I can't break his alibi," he says, and grabs his coat and Fin before heading for the door.
Munch settles back at his desk and raises an eyebrow at Olivia.
"Don't even start with me," she says, and he puts his hands up defensively. They go back to their files.
Ten minutes later, Munch says, "He's married, you know."
Olivia doesn't dignify that with a response.
***
She meant it when she told Elliot it wouldn't happen again, which is why it's a whole week before it does.
A guy cuts a baby out of his wife's stomach, and that's the kind of bad day at work that sends them all to a bar afterwards. They all stay late, but finally Munch leaves, then Alex, then Fin, then it's just her and Elliot, not looking at each other. They finish their drinks in silence, and when she moves to stand up, Elliot does too.
Outside he hails her a cab without asking, and opens the door for her, and as she goes to get in their faces are close together. He's still not looking at her, and without quite meaning to, on impulse, she leans in and kisses the left corner of his mouth. For a long moment he holds still, and she's about to pull away when he turns his head and kisses her seriously, his hand moving to the back of her neck. He twists his fingers in the hair at the base of her skull and pulls steadily until it hurts, and this is not a soft kiss. She bites gently on his tongue and he lets her, and finally the taxi driver honks in irritation so that they both jump.
When she gets in the cab, Elliot follows like he's read her mind, that unnerving habit he's picked up lately, and when she tells the driver her address she almost doesn't recognize her own voice.
They sit on opposite sides of the backseat, and Elliot's looking straight ahead, his hands on his knees. At any moment she expects him to bolt, to tell the driver to let him out, to head back to Queens, but he doesn't. He sits, and when they get to her building he pays the driver and follows her obediently up the stairs, his hands shoved in his pockets. They still haven't said anything to each other since Fin left the bar, and their feet are loud on the stairs.
They are not drunk enough to excuse this.
As she turns the key in the lock she worries that once they're inside, Elliot will still just stand there, not saying anything, his hands in his pockets, like he's not quite there. But when she closes the door behind them he's staring at her with a strange look in his eyes, which she just has a split second to register before he is pushing her back against the door and sliding his thigh between hers.
"Fuck," he mutters, and kisses her so her head knocks against the door.
She kisses back, just as hard, pressing him backwards, because Elliot Stabler is not going to get the better of her.
After the day she's had, she wants to punch someone, and fucking Elliot is almost the same thing.
There is a moment, when Elliot pulls her shirt over her head, that she wonders what Munch is going to say the next day, but it's brief.

Oh man, you know what? I adore this because ... MUNCH! Your Munch is so ... Munchy. THere needs to be more Munch and the idea of ... Munch and Oliva as partners is just awesome. With Stabler filling the Cassidy role except, damn, with Stabler you don't just call it quits after one night, even if you think you're gonna be able to resist.
After the day she's had, she wants to punch someone, and fucking Elliot is almost the same thing.
*dead with lust*

PEE ESS where are the other four ways they didn't have wild hot monkey sex hmm?
PEE PEE ESS it pleases me to see the lack of Alex shagging Elliot.
PEE PEE PEE ESS (it pleases me to write 'pee') I AM NOT HERE. I AM WRITING MY THESIS. SERIOUSLY.

Hahaha, all that to say, THANK YOU.
PS. I have only written three ways that they've not had wild monkey sex, but the other two are coming. Sounds like #4 is going to be "on a pirate ship." THANKS, SLOANE.
PPS. Dude, Alex/Elliot is almost as OTP as Olivia/Elliot. For real.
PPPS, whatever you say!

You own.
After the day she's had, she wants to punch someone, and fucking Elliot is almost the same thing.
Oh, you SO own.
So, are there really four more to look forward to? :D
no subject
But v good fic! Is there a whole SVU fandom? I'm intrigued while also somewhat creeped out that you managed to think up something so vile that it seems like it's destined to be on the show if it hasn't been already. (The baby.)
