Gods, this hurt in exactly the right way. I sometimes find M*A*S*H to be almost-unbearably melancholy, and Jim/Pam just sits under my solar plexus and aches—which is why I love it, of course—and combining the two like this? I can barely breathe.

Like everyone else, I was blown away by Pam silhouetted against the sun, and by the way you managed to raise my body temperature just by describing summer in Korea, and for some reason the way you described how fresh Ryan and Katy felt compared to the people who'd been there longer really impacted me.

"General Levinson, no Gould" made me cackle out loud with laughter, too, just so you don't think you completely crushed my soul or anything. Although you nearly did. (The scene in the pool didn't make me cry or anything, btw. Dust under my eyelid. Terribly itchy.)

This and "Pack Up Your Bags..." are like this unbelievable two-headed monster of perfect, sublime fanfic. They are the reason fanfic was invented. Please don't ever stop writing.
